I am an author, actor, director, and educator with a vision to create opportunity for all voices to soar.
My career as a special education teacher with differently abled and marginalized children, influences my writings. These children became the muses for my essential question, “How do we access and embrace all voices?“
Helen Keller said that “the day I met my teacher, Anne Sullivan Macy was my soul’s birthday.” This phrase was my call to action, not only in my performance work as Annie Sullivan, but in my book and writings.
Theatre is a language. My works are tools for discourse on voice, equity, and access serving to inspire.
The performance arts (playwriting, storytelling, acting) are my teaching tools. As an author. actor, and educator, I encourage people to honor their truth, their stories, and their dreams.
